"You know what it's like, getting a yearning for a Hawaiian-Romance-Mystery-Cookbook. S.P. Grogan's Captain Cooked is a book you can sink your teeth into in more ways than one."
    —Craig Johnson
author of The Cold Dish and Junkyard Dogs

"It reads like Janet Evanovich morphing into Rachel Ray while filming a remake of the Perils of Pauline."
    —Anne Hillerman
author of Tony hillerman's Landscape, Santa Fe Flavors and Gardens of Sante Fe

"I picked up 'Captain Cooked' at Borders at Ward Centre. It is a fun not serious read, even with a mantra, 'When in doubt, go to the beach!' Reviewer failed to mention the GPS treasure hunt is for a hidden war club when found and redeemed is worth $5,000. But, I think, this mystery has something for everyone, and I agree, it's not like Agatha Christie but more modern hip, like a young comedic Jennifer Anniston as a haole looking for island romance and finding murder instead. Recommend."

WOW! Bravo!!! What fun this book has been. Mahalo to you!!!! My Mother was here visiting and I took her to the Royal Kona for a night. Bought the book in the shop there. Forgive me for not remembering names beyond Don's Mai Tai Bar...HipaHipa to Brad Parker for it was his 3-D canvas that drew me in. I can't wait to begin my journey. I live in Mt View and know the Big I quite well. This is going to be so much fun. I work @ Pa'ani Ranch, so when your back on island I'll take You on an adventure. Mahalos for the awesome read and new adventures to be had! Aloha!
    Sincerly, Noelle
